New DB Drawing, with New DB Part Master (HICADPDM)

The New drawing with DB, with new part master function enables you to create a new drawing with part master and document master. If you save a drawing with part master to the HELiOS database, a Part <->Drawing link between the drawing (document master) and the part (part master) will be created by default. You can as well select another link for this process. The underlying link is specified in the HiCAD variable. Use the Configuration function in the HELiOS Desktop to change it.

To create a part master, please proceed as follows:

Enter the data in the input mask.
If you want to classify the part, activate the Classification button.
Assign a marked class to the part with OK. The part will now receive an additional tab with the mask belonging to the selected class.
Save the entries with OK.

Please read the instructions given in the chapter Classification.
Default settings for the values for part type and designation can be configured if required.
If you have activated the Default HELiOS-HiCAD Configuration and opened a 3-D main part with part master in the drawing, you can directly take over the part master of the 3-D main part.
