Close Planar Holes (3-D FFS)

3-D FFS > From boundary curves >Surface closes planar holes

Use this function to close surfaces taking planar holes into account. These inner cycles may also be boundaries of a freeform surface.

1. First identify an edge of the outer cycle. Here, only edges are allowed to which exactly one surface is attached! The detected outer cycle is marked, and the prompt Select other cycle? appears.
2. Answer NO in order to take over the selected outer cycle. You have then the option to end the selection or choose further cycles:

• Select No to end the selection.
• Select Yes to choose further cycles and identify the edge of an inner cycle.

Clicking opens a pull-down menu containing the New surface function.
